The Chhattisgarh Football Association (CFA) is the official governing body for football in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. Established in 2000 and headquartered in Bhilai, Durg, CFA is affiliated with the All India Football Federation (AIFF). It oversees various state-level football leagues and teams, including both men’s and women’s categories.
Key Competitions
1. Chhattisgarh State Men’s Football League
Launched in 2022, this is the premier men’s football league in the state. The inaugural season featured 8 teams, with RKM emerging as the champions. The 2025 season saw SECR Bilaspur clinch the title.
2. Chhattisgarh State Women’s Football League
Founded in 2021, this league serves as the top-tier competition for women’s football in Chhattisgarh. Mata Rukmani Girls from Bastar won the first edition, and the 2024–25 season is currently underway with teams like RKM Football Academy and MGM Ambush Club leading the point table.
3. Chhattisgarh State U-17 Boys Football League
Started in 2025, for the first time as to transform young talents to Elite players in Chhattisgarh. This season a total of 8 teams participated in this league and the matches will be played on basis of home and away.
4. State Football Championship Girls & Women’s
CFA, in collaboration with NTPC, organizes a state-wide Women’s Football Championship. The event included coaching camps and championship across Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior categories, aiming to identify and nurture talent for national competitions.
5. State Football Championship Boys & Men’s
Since 2016, NTPC is fully sponsoring CFA for organizing a state-wide Men’s Football Championship. The event included coaching camps and championship across Sub- Junior, Junior and Senior categories, for searching the best players for national competitions.

2. Women’s Teams: Senior, U-19, U-17
These teams compete in all national football championship organize by AIFF – the Santosh Trophy NFC, Rajmata JijaBai Trophy NFC, Dr.B.C. ROY Trophy NFC, Swami Vivekananda NFC, Junior Girls NFC, Sub-Junior Boys NFC and Sub-Junior Girls NFC. Aim of Chhattisgarh Football Association To promote and popularize football in Chhattisgarh by creating a structured, inclusive, and competitive environment that nurtures talent from the grassroots to the professional level.

1. Establishing CFA as a Leading Sports Association
Mr. R. Prasana has expressed a commitment to positioning the CFA as the foremost sports association in the state, focusing on the development and promotion of football across Chhattisgarh.
2. Decentralization of Football Activities
He envisions organizing national-level football competitions not only in Bhilai but also in other districts equipped with appropriate facilities, thereby decentralizing football activities and providing broader access to the sport.
3. Empowering Athletes and Coaches
A priority under his leadership is ensuring timely financial support for athletes and coaches, facilitating their participation in training and competitions without financial constraints.
4. Establishment of District-Level Football Associations
Mr. R. Prasana aims to establish a football association in each of the 27 districts of Chhattisgarh in the coming years, fostering grassroots development and increasing the sport’s reach throughout the state.
5. Implementation of AIFF Grassroots Development Programme
He has been instrumental in initiating the AIFF Grassroots Development Programme in Chhattisgarh, focusing on nurturing young talent and expanding football’s base in the state.
